About

Atlantean's Crew

Sailing Atlantean is a platform created by Adam, a Salt Lake City, Utah, native who departed Los Angeles, California, on December 10, 2024, with the goal of circumnavigating the globe.

Adam Wilkins

From a young age, Adam was compelled to explore the world around him. His journey began with mountain biking, skiing and climbing before evolving into speedflying and paragliding internationally.

Now, Adam has embraced what he believes is the next step in the ever expanding progression. An attempt to circumnavigate.

Fun Fact: Atlantean is the same model of sailboat as Bubbles from the Chasing Bubbles—the film that first inspired Adam to pursue his dream of circumnavigation years ago. Interestingly, it wasn’t until after purchasing Atlantean and rewatching the documentary that Adam realized the boat that originally sparked his ambition was the very same model he now owns.

*It was originally believed to have been commissioned by an heir to the Heinz ketchup fortune, but Gregory Smith later clarified that it was, in fact, commissioned by a John Deere heir.
